Our Wedding: 1 Month to Go!

Wedding bells are in the air just as much as the leaves are starting to pile up on the floor! That's right, we're officially one month away from our wedding day and I guess you could say things are getting pretty serious right about now - eek! There's still a lot to accomplish, to pay for and to buy in such a short space of time but we're getting there. So without further ado, here's the latest (and the last) in our wedding planning!

25 Things That Make Me Smile

Do you ever stop and think about the things that bring so much joy into your life? The little things that make you smile? I'll admit that I didn't give as much thought to this as I should have before I was tagged to do this post by the incredible Gabby from GABBYABIGAILL - you can check out her post here and of course, you can continue reading to discover the 25 things that make me smile!

Unnecessary Risks: The People Who Ignore Ride Restrictions

Let me be frank: I consider myself to be open-minded. The decisions you make for yourself and your family are yours alone but I do have a limit and that's usually where safety is concerned. So when I see these (all too common) posts on Facebook groups actively encouraging a blatant disregard for ride restrictions, I get a little riled up.

Endo Flare-Ups and the Stay-at-Home Mum: What It's REALLY Like!

It was Thursday night, around 8pm, that I first noticed something was awry. I'd gotten changed into my pyjamas in the bathroom and recoiled at the sight of myself. I was humongous. My usually comfortable and baggy clothes were tight with my top barely covering anything lower than my belly button. I should have realised then, what was to come, but I didn't. I brushed it off, blissfully unaware of the pain that would take hold of me only a few hours later.

Lush Ickle Baby Bot Bath Bomb Review

For Matt and I, it's a real treat to have a bath bomb from LUSH. If money wasn't an issue, or even if there was just a little bit more disposable income, then we'd probably use them regularly but as it stands, they are a luxury afforded to us for special occasions only. Mini, on the other hand, hadn't had the good fortune yet but thanks to the Ickle Baby Bot bath bomb we picked up in our local store last week, his luck was about to change!

Defeated by Chronic Illness?

There's a quote from one of my favourite books, The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky, that basically says "So, this is my life. And I want you to know that I am both happy and sad and I'm still trying to figure out how that could be." This is how I feel right now. I've had a fantastic mini break with my boys at Chessington World of Adventures this weekend and yet here I am, entirely defeated, beaten by the villain that is chronic illness. That thief of joy, health and hope.

What I Read: Summer 2019

August is over! Hooray, we are so close to autumn that I can smell the faint aroma of pumpkins and hear the soothing crunch of people walking over fallen leaves. But the end of summer also brings a close to my summer reading challenge and so here I am, talking about the 12 books I read this summer!

August Favourites

Another month of the year has vanished into thin air and now I'm only a few weeks away from marrying my soulmate before embarking on a fantastic Disney-moon. The next few months of my life are literally what dreams are made of. But before all of that, I wanted to reflect on all the things I loved last month.
